Most of the passengers do not know this, but whenever due to an incident with the airline, they arrive at their final destination with more than 3 hours of delay, the law grants them automatic compensation.

In addition, additional extraordinary costs and damages may be claimed, as set out in Regulation (EC) 261/2004. As for example the refund or alternative transport, and other attentions, including sufficient food and refreshments depending on the waiting time; in addition to lodging in a hotel in case it is necessary to spend one or more nights.
